The Tunkhannock Public Library and the Dietrich Theater would like to invite you to read Catch-22 by Joseph Heller and The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien as part of this year's Wyoming County Reads project. You are welcome to borrow

copies of the books from the Tunkhannock Public Library while they last. Join us forbook discussions at the Tunkhannock Public Library and see the acclaimed movie Catch-22 at the Dietrich Theater. All discussions and the movie are free. Sponsored by: The Wyoming County Commissioners Office -Tom Henry, Judy Mead and Ron Williams.

Wed., February 4 at 7 p.m. at the Tunkhannock Public Library with Bill Chapla - The Morality and Religion of War

Wed., February 11 at 7 p.m. at the Tunkhannock Public Library with Bill Chapla - The Language of Absurdity: The Bureaucracy of War

Wed., February 18 at 7 p.m. at the Tunkhannock Public Library with Dr. Daniel Fraustino of the University of Scranton -Discussion of "The Things They Carried"

Wed., February 25 at 7 p.m. at the Tunkhannock Public Library with John Tindell of Northampton Community College - "Catch-22" Premovie Discussion

"Catch-22" the Movie: Wednesday, March 4 at noon & 7 p.m. at the Dietrich Theater  

Admission: Free  

Movie showings will be followed by a brief discussion with Bill Chapla.  Based on the novel by Joseph Heller, Catch-22 stars Alan Arkin as a bombardier in World War II trying desperately to escape the insanity of the war. However, sometimes insanity is the only sane way to cope with a crazy situation.
