After School Players offers an opportunity for students to be totally immersed in what it takes to produce a play. The play is Third Class by Brad Slaight, a tale of real life lessons learned outside the classroom. Students will learn all aspects of actor performance. Emphasized this year, students will be learning the world of the crew, that is, all aspects of backstage, including operating the light and sound booth, and even learning how to be a director. Included will be all aspects of the production such as set, props, costumes, lighting, the role of the stage manager, and learning how the crew has to be invisible during the show. At the end of the show a choreographed dance will leave the students and audience thrilled and energized!
