I Am Not Your Negro
93 min. in English ,,,Directed by: Raoul Peck

Rated: PG-13

Nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the Academy Awards, I Am Not Your Negro is a revolutionary look at race relations in America. This film uses archival footage of legendary writer James Baldwin and his take on the lives and  successive assassinations of his close friends Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr. before his untimely death in 1987. The film follows master filmmaker Raoul Peck who envisions the book James Baldwin never finished and what it would mean to the struggle that is still going on today. I Am Not Your Negro is a journey from start to finish and helps us examine where we've come from, where we are and how much further we still have to go.

"You would be hard-pressed to find a movie that speaks to the present moment with greater clarity and force, insisting on uncomfortable truths and drawing stark lessons from the shadows of history." ~ New York Times
