The New Jersey-based Madison String Quartet, praised for its energetic performances and inventive programming, is excited to bring its music to Northeastern Pennsylvania on Mother's Day. The first half of the program is called A Musical journey, first developed by George Marriner Maull, a musical exploration for the young and the young at heart. Discover how musical instruments make sound, and how those sounds come together to create a world of music. The second half of the concert will be a traditional concert, featuring pieces by Bedrich Smetana and Arturo Marquez. All are invited to a reception with light refreshments following the concert, a chance to meet the musicians and see the work of artist Ben Hastings, whose paintings are exhibited in our New Gallery.
