Based on: Doctor Sleep; by Stephen King, and a sequel to "The Shining" ,Doctor Sleep continues the story of Danny Torrance, 40 years after his terrifying stay at the Overlook Hotel in The Shining. The now adult Dan Torrance, who struggles with alcoholism, and remains traumatized by the sinister events that occurred at the Overlook Hotel. His hope for a peaceful existence soon becomes shattered when he meets Abra, a teen who shares his extrasensory gift of the "shine." Together, they form an unlikely alliance to battle the True Knot, a cult whose members try to feed off the shine of innocents to become immortal.  Dan and Abra engage in a brutal life-or-death battle. Abra’s innocence and fearless embrace of her shine compel Dan to call upon his own powers as never before—at once facing his fears and reawakening the ghosts of the past.
