Presented by: the Tunkhannock Public Library and the Dietrich Theater
Join us at the Dietrich Theater for this one day only special showing of the feature-length documentary The Library That Dolly Built with our friends from the Tunkhannock Public Library. This film tells the story of the history, impact and future of America’s largest non-governmental children’s literacy program. Dolly Parton’s Imagintion Library is a book gifting program that mails high-quality books to children no matter their family’s income. Launching in 1995 to just Dolly’s hometown, the library grew and by 2003 had launched a nationwide movement that has mailed over one million books to children around the world. This new documentary features interviews and music from Dolly herself and is narrated by actress and author Danica McKellar of Wonder Years fame. In addition to the film’s showing come out for giveaways and to learn more about the resources of the Tunkhannock Public Library. For more information or for tickets, please call the Dietrich at 570-836-1022 ext. 3 or visit DietrichTheater.com.
