Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story depicts the unbelievable true story of Hedy Lamarr, the screen siren who was called “the most beautiful woman in the world” and starred alongside Hollywood giants like Spencer Tracy, Jimmy Stewart and Clark Gable. Her impact was far greater due to her invention of a wireless form of communication called “frequency hopping” that would help create a secret radio system that allowed Allied forces to torpedo Nazi U-Boats. This invention would eventually go on to revolutionize mobile communications all over the world, a feat that would directly lead to the creation of secure communications for wireless phones, Bluetooth, and more. Tickets will be available at the ticket booth, at DietrichTheater.com or by calling 570-836-1022 ext. 3. |
