Out Stealing Horses is based on the bestselling novel by Norwegian author Per Petterson and stars Stellan Skarsgård. The films follows a 67-year-old man who lives in self-imposed isolation and looks forward to welcoming in the new millennium alone. As winter arrives he meets one of his few neighbors and realizes he knew him back in the summer of 1948. What follows is the rekindled memories of that year and how his present is foretold by the events of the past.
