At Tunkhannock's Riverside Park

Join us for River Day in Tunkhannock's Riverside Park. Included in the day's festivities will be live music, environmental activities for children and adults, nature walks, a River Float, live animals, mural painting, face painting and more. Susquehanna Paddle Trip – 9:30 a.m.
Meet at Tunkhannock’s Riverside Park
Meshoppen to Riverside Park -14 miles
Reservations required- rentals and shuttles available, please contact one of the outfitters for cost and details. A lesson on how to kayak will be given.

1-2:30 p.m. -J.P. Williams & Ekat Pereyra – performing electric and acoustic Blues, Chicago and Delta style music.

3:00-4:00 p.m. -The Ziegers – Tim and Abi play a mix of rousing traditional songs, well-loved folk tunes, and a mix of indi-acoustic originals.

4:30 – 5:30 p.m.- Bret Alexander  & Tom Flannery - Bret Alexander  of “Badlees” fame joined by singer-songwriter Tom Flannery featuring a mix of rock, folk and acoustic original music.

6:00 – 7:00 p.m. -Dave Brown & the Dishonest Fiddlers -The Dishonest Fiddlers are an up and coming Folk/Americana group based in Northeast Pennsylvania.  Since 2013, this group has been performing original music and honing their craft.

1:00 – 2:00 p.m. – Nature Journaling with Terra McAlliffe
Join Terra McAulliffe to begin the rewarding exploration, play & creativity of Nature Journaling! You do not need to be an artist or a naturalist, in fact, all ages ready to hold a pencil are welcome. Taking the time to journal enriches experiences, develops observation, curiosity, gratitude, reverence, memory, & appreciation of the natural world.
2:00 – 3:00 p.m. –Wildlife Along the Susquehanna with Wildlife Conservation Officer Vic Rosa of the PA Game Commission
Learn about the wildlife that make their home along the Susquehanna River.
3:00 –4:00 p.m.- Pennsylvania Wildlife with Rebecca Lesko of the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center
Meet live birds of prey, mammals and reptiles as Rebecca Lesko presents each one. Several of these animal ambassadors are not able to be released back into the wild.
