Leonardo da Vinci – Sneak Preview

At the Dietrich Theater in downtown Tunkhannock
Sunday, October 27 at 3 p.m.
Presented by: WVIA
Admission: Free
WVIA and the Dietrich Theater present a free preview screening and discussion of highlights of Leonardo da Vinci, a new documentary directed by Ken Burns, Sarah Burns and David McMahon, Sunday, October 27 at 3 PM. The full two-part four-hour film will air November 18 and 19 on PBS. The documentary explores the life and work of the 15th century polymath Leonardo da Vinci, whose soaring imagination and profound intellect were the foundation for a conversation we are still having today: what is our relationship with nature and what does it mean to be human. His paintings and drawings, such as the Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, and the Vitruvian Man, are among the most celebrated works of all time and his art was often equaled by his pursuits in science and engineering. The screening/discussion event is free, but seating is limited. Reservations at wvia.org/events or at 570-836-1022x3.
