Thomas Slocum Building
7 Marion Street ca. 1843

Thomas T. Slocum was the first known owner of this property. The building has changed hands many times and has been the residence and office for several area businessmen. Prominent Tunkhannock citizens who have used the building include S. Judson Stark and C. Elmer Dietrich. Stark served as county treasurer and manager of the Tunkhannock Toy Company. Dietrich was a cemetery monument dealer, congressman and father of theater owner George Dietrich. In recent years, it has served as law offices due to its proximity to the courthouse.
