4: Iroquois Trail In Tunkhannock
A 1.8 mile trail on a former railroad bed through mixed forest with plenty of migrating warblers. Songbirds include tanagers, grosbeaks, buntings, cuckoos, and orioles are also present.
5: Lazybrook Park Tunkhannock
A great place for picnicking and casual bird watching. Tunkhannock Creek flows next to the park attracting numerous bird species. Louisiana Waterthrush, Warbling Vireo, Black-throated Green Warbler, Baltimore Oriole, Mallard and mergansers.
8: Davis Crossing Preserve
This Countryside Conservancy property has two woodland trails on each side of Erhardt Road. An observation platform overlooks a beaver pond. Abundant songbird and waterfowl species are present in season, but trails can be muddy. Also look for Eastern Meadowlarks, Bobolinks, and Savannh and Swamp Sparrows.

Nicholson to Tunkhannock, 16 miles. Easy riffles, rapids, and pools. Pastoral and wooded scenery. Bald eagles often seen. Class I-II
South Branch Tunkhannock Creek
Factoryville to Dixon, 7 miles. Most popular whitewater run in the county with several exciting rapids. Class III+
