Year-round access for mountain biking the trail loop as described in Parking Area B, and for hiking to Sprankles Pond. Hike the gated roads to ponds, spruce forests, and wetlands.

Trail Loop - A 16-mile loop along gated forest roads with views of the Mehoopany Creek, rock outcrops, wetlands, Sprankles Pond, cascading streams, spruce forests, and the Stone Cabin. Very isolated and scenic. Follow Southbrook, Cider Run, Opossum Brook, and Shale Pit Roads.

C: Parking area
Dutch Mountain Coal Mine - Seasonal. A well-known local landmark, the mine can be reached by car at the end of a gated road, which is only open during hunting season. It provides a fascinating glimpse into the mining history of this region. If you hike the old ATV trail above the mine, to the northwest, it leads to beautiful spruce forests and some interesting rock outcrops.
