Presenters: Nicholas Sulzer, Vosburg Neck State Park Manager; Timothy Latz, Assistant District Forester; and Jeff Mitchell, hiking author and expert
Join us for a presentation about Wyoming County’s first state park, Vosburg Neck State Park, and a new tract of the Pinchot State Forest, Miller Mountain, with leading experts for these two outdoor recreation sites.  During the program, Tim Latz will present on the newly acquired Miller Mountain Tract, and how it will fit into the Pinchot State Forest system while meeting the DCNR Bureau of Forestry mission of the long-term health, viability, and productivity of the commonwealth’s forests and to converse native, wild plants.  During Nicholas Sulzer’s part of the program, he will delve into the foundations of conservation at Vosburg Neck State Park. Nicholas will also explore the origin of the park’s name and its evolution alongside visions for a sustainable future. He will also discuss the current landscape, including existing facilities, the active engagement of the community and recreational opportunities. Jeff Mitchell will then share photos and videos showcasing the natural beauty of Vosburg Neck State Park and Miller Mountain.
